The ACS800 ULH series are Ultra Low Harmonic drives. ULH drives feature IGBT semiconductors in the supply side of the drive instead of a conventional diode bridge. This allows the drive to control the line current to sinusoidal waveform. With harmonic mitigation built into the drive the need for additional, expensive equipment like transformers or line reactors is eliminated. This concept also ensures that the drives meet the IEEE 519 1992 standards.

Galco Supports No Child without a Christmas Campaign

This holiday season, as in years past, Galco partnered with the Madison Heights Goodfellows to give two  families a very special holiday season.

The Madison Heights Goodfellows, incorporated in 1985 as a non-profit Michigan corporation, is an all-volunteer organization. Their main focus during the holiday season is to assure there is No Child without a Christmas. These efforts have provided food, clothing, shoes, and toys for thousands of Madison Heights families over the years, all made possible by the generous donations from residents and local business sponsorships and the hard work of many volunteers.

Thanks to the efforts of its employees, Galco Industrial Electronics can support their  two assigned Madison Heights families for the No Child without a Christmas campaign. Through fundraising events like an annual potluck dinner and $5 jeans days, and from charitable donations, Galco and its employees will use the over $2900 raised thus far to purchase clothing, winter wear, gift cards, and food for the families in need. Galco will continue its fundraising efforts through the holiday season.
